This appears to be a clone of the Handle Saver in HS2 or Large size, which I have on a sledgehammer. The material appears to be identical, and this is not a complicated item so I'm reasonably confident it will hold up. I love these, especially for sledgehammers/mauls that are going to be used with metal splitting wedges. Install is easier if you put it in boiling water for a minute to soften it. If your handle is oiled rather than poly/paint, a coating of linseed oil will also help it slide on and then dry it in place. Price is reasonable for what you get.

Easy to install. I have one on all my splitting mauls, axes, and sledge hammers. Minimizes the damage when I miss.

This is a black rubber hammer handle protector. This slips over the end of the handle. Slide it down to the head, it should be a slightly tight fit to hold it in place. The protector acts as a bumper to protect the handle when the head misses the mark and instead hits the stud or nail. This miss can severely damage the handle even if it is either wood or fiberglass. It can be used on hammers, sledges, axes or hoes. I ruined one sledge handle and gladly used this cover on the replacement handle. Now, I can miss a swing and not risk damage to the handle.Would recommend this to anyone.
