I bought this as a joke (kind of), but also needed it to be functional and not cheap. Mom had hip surgery and when she came home, I stayed with her during recovery, so I thought she’d appreciate using the bell to ‘summon’ me rather than having to yell. It was sturdy and has some weight to it. It doesn’t look cheap and the sound was loud enough for me to hear it in the other room. I recommend this product.
