This electric pasta maker definitely works! I made a simple dough, dropped it into the machine, and ended up with fresh spaghetti for a quick meal. It’s really easy to use. It’s a great option for anyone looking to start making their own pasta at home.Cleanup was pretty simple, and I appreciate that it comes with a charger that powers up relatively quickly. The convenience factor is definitely there. That said, I think I personally prefer my manual pasta maker because I have more options. But if you’re looking for an electric option to streamline the process, this one does the job.

It works but not quite as expected for me. Maybe it's user error but I couldn't get this to work the way I expected. I suppose my hopes were to high. If you made the dough simple, it kind of works but then don't expect the pasta you're used to having.

I didn’t know which one to use so I end up using a thicker like linguine noodles. It takes a lot of prep work to make the pasta but once you put it into the gun and push that seems pretty easy. It was the cut and I had a problem with it was my first time, but this is a very handy tool to have.

I think it may work better if we try a different recipe than the one provided. The real problem with implementing it in practice is the noodles were very runny and there was no way we could cook them until they dried out considerably. Additionally though, the battery didn't last long enough to make enough for two people to eat a meal. Maybe that's the expectation with the runny recipe? It's so wet because you have to wait for the 2nd charge? Also, 2 of the attachments that came were the same, so we were missing the fettuccini one and instead got a double of what they labelled "lasagna," but which is clearly not large enough to produce lasagna noodles.

There is NOTHING like FRESH Pasta!!!! This was a total whim "get" for me and would be a great gift for peeps like me.. I have made fresh ravioli, but it takes the whole family to pull that off. A sauce person, a roller, a dough prep, and a "towel person" to keep the dough moist when rolling out. At least for us with materials made for home....My wife made the sauce you see - a meaty, spicy red sauce. I did the dough myself. Way less "painful" than I thought. NOTE: THE MFR RECOMMENDS A FLOUR AND WATER MIXTURE ONLY!!!! I ASSUME THIS IS IMPORTANT, AND "BASICALLY" FOLLOWED THEIR RECOMMENDATION. I used 2 cups Semolina and 3/4 cup of water with a little salt. A little dryer than they recommend, but it worked fine in the machine. I also used the THICK noodle mold. See in pic.I love fresh pasta because I like a REAL chew to my noodles... You can't get that with dry. I cooked the thick noodles 3-4 minutes and they had a great chew. Probably add a minute or two for "normal folk".Thoughts on the machine:~ It does a good job with pushing the noodles for with a full charge. With the recipe above, I had no issue with power.~ Setup is a breeze.~Definitely recommend cutting the pasta straight into boiling water. Comes out great when you do. I did 2 batches of pasta and then finished the 1st batch back in the water for a few seconds to pull them together.~ To get the pasta into the water, I let the machine go until it was out of pasta, slowly allowing the pasta into the boiling water and then used food scissors to cut the end. Worked great.~Clean up of the mold is a bit of a pain. Even with ravioli this is the case with fresh pasta, but a mold required a tooth pick for me.. Still "the juice is worth the squeeze" for me to have fresh pasta.~ The water and pasta need salt to overcome the lack of egg / oil from most pasta recipes. With a spicy and meaty sauce, I did not miss it, but worth consideration.Overall - I am really glad we got this. My wife and I are empty nesters, and these little things where we cook together make life fun.

Once you have had fresh pasta, you never want to go back to dry pasta.I saw this item and opted for it.I have wanted a pasta maker but most of what I see is way more than I need. I saw this one and thought, "Why Not".Mine did not come with any recipes so I went online and searched pasta recipes.I am using 2 cups "00" flour with a pinch of salt and about 3/4 cup of water.Once blended, simply load the pasta maker with the desired pasta disk, load the pasta dough into the barrel, screw down the cap, and turn on the device.Very quickly you will have a batch of fresh pasta.Cleanup is quick and easy.Take the fresh pasta and cook it in boiling water for about 3 to 4 minutes and you are ready to go.For an interesting change of pace, add a sourdough starter to the pasta mix and let it rest overnight.Delicious.Cheers ðŸ·
