I got this to test a project I was working on and it works great. I like the vibrate mode button for if your in a noisy area or just don't want to hear the beep. Low sensitivity mode seems ideal for most security purposes and high mode is ideal for detecting anything metal like smaller metal objects. I'd imagine this would work even as a metal detector for finding objects at beaches, etc. I noticed the ON switch label was backwards but it's really not an issue and I would still easily give the highest possible rating. 5 stars!

Only bad thing is it doesn’t come with a charger but has a charging port. It does come with two batteries.

A charging connection is missing. Use directions are poor.Does this scanner need to be charged after the battery is installed.Very difficult to see ( + or - ) on inside of battery compartment.Will this detect microchips?Answer ASAP! We want to put this to use.

I bought this to scan recycled 3/4" thick tongue & groove Cherry boards for nails. Unfortunately, it missed many nails which if run through a planer will destroy the blades.

Bought it to use for my son 18th bday party for security and it worked fine. Easy to set up cause it was battery powered. The batteries came with product and it was set. I'd buy again
