Perfect fit for my 2004.5 Polaris Sportsman 600. Install was easy, but you will need to purchase a new set of grips, because you have to cut the left grip off.

In January 2020,I bought a headlight on/off switch for my quad.It boasted a 24 month warranty. 13 months later it failed while I was riding the quad. It shut off and refused to let me start it back up, causing me to have the quad towed. When I looked up the part on Amazon .... surprise! there is no way to contact the company that sold the part. What good is a warranty with no contact info? They must be ashamed of their product or they would list their contact info on the Amazon description page...eh? Amazon told me the company was GistGear.com. They have an extensive web page with the only contact info listed as contact@gistgear.com if you want to advertise with them. I sent them an email a week ago and got no response. I would NOT recommend this company's products.

Purchased a very used Polaris Sportsman 500 ATP. It would not reverse reliably, if there was any incline, or if you turned the wheels the limiter would kick in. You had to drive a certain way because you knew you'd likely not be able to back up. It was so annoying and limiting the use of the quad.Decided to do something about it and started with this switch as I didn't want to get rid of the limiter 100% for safety reasons.Fast swap, windex helped pull my handlebar grip off easily. Tested in a few places I knew the quad wouldn't back up normally on and it worked!!!!!

I have a Polaris sportsman 500. I was clearing snow one night and all of a sudden my lights went out and my blade wouldn't go up. I backed it in its spot, turned it off and all was good. A few hrs later, I tried to start it. No power, not even a click. After trying to trouble shoot it with no luck(new battery, new voltage regulator), last resort was this switch. It works!!! Note to self: check the switch first next time.

This Handlebar Headlight Switch was incredibly easy to install and connect to the factory wiring of my 2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. I’ve done similar replacements on other ATVs and motorcycles in the past, and they’ve always been a bit of a headache, but not with this one. It was a perfect fit right out of the box. If you’re looking for a hassle-free replacement for your headlight switch, this is definitely the one to go for.
