Would have rated it five star, but I was short the number of screws needed. My order was for 12 lights which required 48 screws for the mounting brackets, with me only installing 9 lights I was still short 8 screws. I also didn’t get any black screws to use on pothe two holes on the top side of the light to keep the inserted bracket to use on a 3 1/2†x 3 1/2†post from falling down which I had to purchase. Would have been nice to have had a shipping packing slip of parts of the order to verify before beginning to install. The Parts List, suppled on your manual states for and order of 12 Pack there should 12 Screw Kits. What is a Screw Kit? Does it mean 12 packets, if so I only got 2 packets of screws.

I was dissatisfied with my original handrail mounting brackets, as they had a single screw mounting system, and didn't seem as sturdy. These have a 3 screw mount, and are of heavier construction, which makes me feel much safer.

For you DIYers. Mark your studs in the wall (it's very important to find center of the stud.) Figure out where you want your handrail (height is typically 33" to 37") and then put a witness mark in the bottom holes (of the hardware) for the top and the bottom hardware. Then pop a chalk line of those two bottom marks. Now you'll have a perfect mounting level for your handrail. It's very important to find center of thr stud because the top two holes are 3/4" on center and a stud is only 1 1/2" wide, so it doesn't give you a lot of stud to play with. The screws are sturdy enough but make sure you pre-drill all the holes. I put a 2" screw in the bottom holes just because I wanted to be sure there would be no problems down the road. Hope this helps some of you..!
