I'm glad I purchased this item rather than one made from plastic. I've used it not just for papers but to hold books of three different sizes and bindings. Each has stayed in place and the 'feet' that hold the volume open and keep the pages down have remained in place. The fact that they flip down and out make it easy to insert the book and to turn the pages without damaging them. Definitely worth the price.

I often need to type up revisions from a printed manuscript and this stand is the perfect tool for the job. It's great for a home office, or even to use out at the park (on a table). I use an extra weighted object to help it stand on uneven ground or blankets, for those times I'm working on a picninc blanket or on the couch. Useful and affordable!

This is really handy and works well for papers with lots of lines of info or data. It’s sturdy and easy to reposition. I would give it 5 stars if the clip with ruler was a little stronger. Works well and great for the money.

This is so much better than the heavy steel copyholder I had been using. The easel back adjusts to several positions and doesn't slip. I can slide it beneath the legs of my desktop monitor and read from it easily.The back panel is metal and I find it easier to hold papers in place with small magnets than to fiddle with the sliding bar and top clip, which are a little hard to squeeze and move, and feel a bit flimsy, as though they might break easily. The bottom clips, meant to hold a book, are only large enough for a thinnish paperbook, not a big reference book, but they are useful. I do translations and this is a terrific, if not absolutely perfect, copyholder.

My complaint is that it isn’t lighted or very magnified. Not for fine print and old eyes.
