I originally wanted a radio that can work even if the power goes out like in a storm. I loved the idea that it had backup battery power but in actuality the battery will support the memory. If the power goes out the clock radio will also stop working. When the power comes back on the battery power returns the memory of the clock to your preset radio stations. I wish I knew that before I threw out the box.

My husband and I had significant difficulty setting up the clock/alarms despite reading the manual several times. I also hated the brightness of the green light - and the fact that there was no way to dim it as with other clocks. I kept it but gave it to my son and bought a different clock.

For this price of this alarm clock, you cannot beat it! This is a perfect little clock radio for our boys to have in their room. We got it so that our boys could start getting themselves up in the morning. It works perfectly for this and the radio with sleep timer allows them to listen to music while falling asleep at night without us needing to go up to their room to turn off the radio later in the night. We do not allow them to keep a cell phone in their room at night so this helped us create an environment where they could be responsible for their morning routine without the use of a cell phone. Love this little clock radio!

The display is quite bright, and not dimmable. Being that it is used a night Alarm, the display should be able to be dimmable or less bright - it is quite blinding when viewed at night in a dark room.One week later, i got some clear blue plastic from an Office Supply Store, and put it between the LED and the plastic screen. I had to unscrew the 2 halves to do this. Another way would have been to tape the blue plastic screen to the front of the bright display

I am completely dissatisfied with the product because it is unnecessarily complicated to program, to set the time, set up the alarm, and reset.
