Just received and installed on lens. As the Sigma 100-400 has no collar available from Sigma, this is a big plus. Fit well and appears solid and well made.

Good and sturdy lens collar. The only flaw is the alignment to view the display meter on the lens.

I purchased this to use on my Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens, which is what the listing said it was made for. While it fits in terms of diameter, the lack of a cutout on the ring to accommodate the focus distance window on the lens barrel means it has limited metal on metal connection to the lens barrel and it prevents you from seeing the small window that reflects the ever changing focus distance. However, there is a model that does exactly fit the Sigma 100-400mm lens including a cutout to allow the focus window to be fully exposed. It is the iShoot Tripod Mount Ring IS-SM140. No more costly and much better fit.

This specific model, as pictured, features a cutout so that the ring can mount around the switch panel on the lens.The exact model in the listing labeled as LMR-SM140 features this slot. The model which I received, also labeled as LMR-SM140 does not have this slot and does not fully seat onto the lens body as a result.

This product makes the Sigma 100-400mm lens so much easier to work with and allows you to obtain much sharper images due to being able to stabilize the lens and prevent movement of the lens during creation of images. When looking through the viewfinder the image is not shaking due to lens movement. It is not perfect because it does cover the distance scale a little but I can live with that. I do obtain much sharper images now. I also don't regret purchasing the lens

Fits pretty well on my sigma 100-400 on my Sony A7. Just a tiny bit of play when secured but not too noticeable. Considering the lack of collar options for this lens I would recommend.

This is a really good quality lens collar and has an arca-swiss foot which is a bonus. The Sigma 100-400 is an awesome lens, but for some reason, Sigma decided not to add a lens collar to the lens. This lens collar fills that void and allows easier, more efficient use of the lens on a tripod.

Good quality but doesn't perfect fit and will scratch the lense. Maybe it is made for different lens. Dont buy it if you have Sigma 100-400mm.

Sigma does not make a tripod foot mount ring for their 100-400 lens and I was worried that this would not fit securely. I am so happy to be wrong! The build tolerances are exceptional and it is made of quality material. If you want to use the Sigma 100-400 contemporary lens with a tripod then you need this.

Good product. Just wish it had a thin layer of rubber. Keeps coming loose and slipping on the lens.
