So far so good. It does need a ups though because if power is lost, the wifi settings are lost.Overall great device to help manage and watch water flow or disable the water flow.

Unit is sturdy in your hands. Tested before installing. Includes brass couplings and wire and rechargeable battery power what a plus. Now I can monitor and turn off valve through WiFi where ever I am. Just finished install myself and all is good so far. Will only update review if i have a problem with unit.

This WiFi Smart Water Valve will monitor (1) water usage, (2) single water usage, (3) real-time water flow readings on the APP and LCD display. It will track total water usage on the mobile APP.The water valve can be shut off automatically to prevent damage, such as when any of the followings situations (1) when water usage exceeds 1,000 gallons per day, or (2) the flow rate exceeds 800 gallons per hour, or (3) a single water usage exceeds 60 minutes, the valve is automatically shut off.

This smart water valve is really nice. It seems well constructed and is sized for 3/4 inch pipe, which is the inlet side for my home. Connecting it is easy enough for those with plumbing skill, which of course will depend on what type of plumbing is there. This requires a AC outlet to be nearby, though it does have a battery inside but it is more for backup to be online during a power failure. This connects over WiFi to the smart life app, which is a nice and generalized app for many smart home devices. It shows the state of the valve and information about water usage, which is nice to have, especially to compare to water meter readings to detect a leak in the group between the meter and this device. Though the smart life app, leak sensor can be made to cause this valve to shut if they detect a leak, which is quite handy. This device can also be set to shut off when there is a high flow rate, like a burst pipe.

I haven't hooked this up to house water yet. I will update when I do.The device hooks up easily to Wifi. You go through the Smart Life app. The Smart Life app controls this and other devices like lights, blinds, cat feeders, etc. I use this app a lot. This device monitors water usage. It can remotely turn water on or off. It can do this if it hits certain triggers you set regarding the amount of water used in a day or other time duration. This device cannot detect leaks. In reading through this, if you want to use this device to shut off water in the event of a leak, you have to buy several wifi leak detectors that work with the Smart Life app, install them in places like sinks, washer, etc. And link them to this using Scenes in the Smart Life app. The Scene would be if leak detected, then shut off water.

I recently installed this WiFi Smart Water Valve, and it’s been a game changer for managing water usage in my home. The setup was simple, and I love being able to track real-time water flow on both the app and the LCD display. The automatic shutoff feature gives me peace of mind, especially when the water usage exceeds certain limits, preventing potential damage. The WiFi connectivity works seamlessly, and the rechargeable battery lasts for months even during power outages. It’s also great that it integrates with a water leak detector for added security. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to take control of their water consumption!
