The original purchase of this system included a hub and 3 detectors. This product consists of 3 additional detectors and is is for users that need additional detectors. The system sends alerts to your smartphone when a leak is detected. That feature is indispensable when the detector is sited in a distant location from which you can't hear the alerting piezo buzzer.Installation is intuitive and it's easy to add additional detectors. I suggest you place these detectors liberally in areas where you have experience with water leaks. I had an incident where a leak occurred in a water service cabinet where I had placed a detector. The detector was placed about a 8 inches from where water was pooling; the water did not come in contact with the detector and therefore no alert was sent. I had significant water damage in my finished basement because the leak went undetected for over a day. I now have 2 detectors in that water service cabinet.

GoVee product are the easy to use ans setup. The UI app is user friendly and making the connections are seamless. Great product.

After linking these up to our wifi, we had a handyman in our house who accidentally splashed some water on one of our sensors. I immediately heard a loud alarm coming from that room of the house and ran upstairs to turn it off. While I was running there my husband called; he was playing pickleball and got an alarm on his iPhone that there was a leak in that room!! I told him what happened and we were both so happy we bought these detectors! They work perfectly and we are very happy.

Its hard truth that home owners must watch for sink leaks. These Govee sensors can help you attain peace of mind for you. They are very easy to setup. And accurate in my testing as well. And they are very loud. You can hear them at any corner of the house. And the app will notify you very instantly. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.Tip: Try to purchase the big 6+4 pack as it would give you two additional sensors than 8 pack in just $10 more.

I bought these to sync to the GoveeLife Gateway. The first two synced very easily as described in the included instructions. The last 3 would not sync at all. I replaced the batteries and followed all the instructions given in the app and paper guide. I restarted my phone. I spent the better part of my Saturday morning scouring the Internet for ideas of what might help. Neither the app nor the paper booklet said to hold the button on the sensor until a red light flashes briefly. They each said hold for 3 seconds only. Turns out the last 3 required being held for 5-8 seconds and only then a red light flashed on the sensor. Synced immediately after that. And no customer support or even troubleshooting files available for weekend and after hours use. I doubt most people are installing these during business hours. Anyway, they seem to alarm appropriately when water is dripped on them, and the alarm would wake the dead...so we should hear them in the middle of the night. But there should be better details on syncing them. That's why I only gave them 4 stars.

Added in basement and it saved me. They add to the Govee app and e-mail you when a leak is detected. I have them under sinks and in HVAC drip trays

These sensors are nice and small and with the wireless feature can be placed almost anywhere that you might have or get a leak. I have one around my basement drain, in between water lines in the trailers and the other under kitchen sink in trailer. The alarm is fantastic and loud so no chance of missing that. I did not opt for the app related ones as I just need to know when there is some water around
