Works really well and protects the tascam nicely. I do wish there was a bit more storage space for my fabric wind cover and for a micro USB cable, and some wired earbuds.Also was a bit frustrated it doesn't at least come with a normal SD card sized adapter for microusb, I ended up having to order one before I got this even though I already have plenty of microSD cards laying around. Overall great case though.

This case is a VERY tight fit for the Tascam DR-40x. It has two sides: one for the recorder, and the other side has a mesh pocket for accessories. However, the case is so small and tight that with the recorder in the case, nothing fits in the opposite mesh side, rendering the mesh pocket absolutely useless.I cannot fit spare batteries, the windscreen or SD cards in the mesh pocket, let alone a USB cable etc. This is a misleading design because when you look at the photo, it appears to have enough space to hold a few accessories as well. This is not the case. I'm returning this and ordering one that can at least fit three spare AA batteries in it.

I like this case a lot. The only thing that I would change is the size.If it were large enough to fit an AC adapter it would be perfect.
