I just got this today. It does work like a charm. It does everything it supposed to. It looks really good and it's very sturdy. Definitely worth the money if you fix computers. If your hard drive has been removed from an external hard drive and you are trying to save your data. This device may or may not work for you, it will ask to initialize your hard drive while connecting it through this device, which means to erase it if you are trying to save your data, then that is a sin. Other than that it works

I got this dock to replace an old USB 2.0 SATA dock. I didn't really need the dual drive support, but I did want the extra USB 3.0 ports on the front.I cannot provide benchmarks on this dock, since I'm using it to read and write to old SATA drives (more than 10 years old). So far, the limiting factor has been the speed of the drives, not the speed of the dock. I can say, unequivocally, that this dock is significantly faster than the old USB 2.0 dock I was using.Also, the build quality is nice. I like the aluminum case. The power button is responsive. The activity lights for the two drive slots are subtle but useful. The only weird thing is that the USB ports on the front are upside down (you have to insert the device or cable upside down).Overall, this seems to be a good product. No complaints after a week of intensive use. Recommended.

I use it all the time. The only thing I wish it did was restart after a power loss on its own. I have had no problems accessing or writing anything. It is smooth and quiet.

First off I should have realized almost all the 5 star reviews are from vine. This is hot garbage, first off it takes quite a while to initially read two disc. Second, there's constant hang-ups when transferring from data from one disc to another. Transferring files slows down when doing more than one transfer. Anything that requires reading the disc for long periods of time always hangs up. Even the simplest task to format an empty drive becomes a challenge. I have two other drive docks, one can read two disc and another can only read one disc. None of the other drive readers give any hassle, this hardware however is completely useless.

This 2-bay hard drive dock works perfectly and was quick and easy to instal on my iMac. Currently I am using 2 8Tb HDD drives to store and back up my image and art files. The HDDs in the dock hibernate when not in use and when computer goes to sleep, and then spin up when you call for them or the computer comes out of hibernation. The 2 USB ports on the front of the dock work perfectly. I am very satisfied with this hard drive dock.

El equipo detectaba los discos a la primera pero si ingresaba aun archivo se desconectaba y conectaba los discos decidà devolverlo por qué asà solo iba a descomponer mis discos duros me imagino que el que me llegó a mi salió defectuoso

Bu disk station' da 14 + 14 TB toplamda 28 TB HDD kullanıyorum. Disklerim Seagate IronWolf Pro ve diskten diske kopyalama yaparken genelde hızlar 220 mb/s üstünde seyrediyor ve 280' lere kadar çıkıyor. Bazı disk istasyonlarında (bana denk gelmedi ama ...) disk takıldığında biçimlendirme istiyormuş fakat bunda olmadı. Zaten böyle bir şey de mantık dahilinde değil, ben zaten atıl durumdaki disklerimi değerlendirmek için bu istasyonu alıyorum ve takacağım diskleri biçimlendirmemi istemesi de mantıksız olurdu. Şu ana kadar bu istasyonun benim için tek dezavantajı Hard Disk Sentinel programını kullanmak istediğimde programın bu disk istasyonunu bir görüp bir görmemesi ve programı kullanamam olsa gerek. Hard Disk Sentinel kullanma şartınız yoksa bu disk istasyonu çok iyi ve stabil çalışıyor ...
