While I haven't needed to clone drives yet, I found having a quick connection to HDD's invaluable to check old drives. It will show each one as separate drive on your PC. For the price, its definitely worth it to expand store. The all silver base looks nice and feels solid holding HDD's.

I have had this docking station for about 6 months, but I have only plugged the HDDs into it a few times. Today, when I tried to plug the HDD in, the internal parts all shifted, the bay door was stuck half closed, the power button fell out, and it won't work at all. It's cheap junk.

First, this thing works better than what I got from walmart or bestbuy. Those seem to disconnect while transferring a lot. This one works great, never get a disconnection while transferring files.The only issues I have with this one is it does not have a flap for 2.5 drives. its just one big one. See picture. so when using a 2.5 drive theres a big openning.The other issue is there are no led indicators to see if this thing is on or off. All you get is a *beep noise.Cool thing is it only beeps when the connection is good. so say if you have a bad drive, you wont hear a beep, only the drive spinning. But very confusing to know if its on or not.Speed is weird on this one. may be my motherboard. when using usb c its slow (40-50mbps), but when using the usb A connector its faster(100mbps~).Will use for a couple more days and decide whether to keep or not. will update.

Unpacked it plugged it in and so far it's been working fine with the two hard drives in it. So far it's been fine no complaints. Just a bit of a learning curve. My other drive dock worked differently.

Producto perfecto. A nivel de diseño bien construido, es elegante y estéticamente impecable. A nivel de performance, es muy rápido y muy fácil de usar. Lo único que no me gustó es el adaptador a USB-A, como está unido al USB-C estorba un poco.

There are several problems with this unit.1. A loud beeping noise is made when the unit is powered on or powered off. Very annoying.2. When not in use, the unit completely shuts itself off and disconnects from Windows 10, instead of just hibernating and then waking up when required.3. The unit is cheaply made and is too light, which causes it to vibrate every time a hard drive spins.I haven't tried the disk cloning function.A previous, single slot model (B07SY7ZMNX) is much better. Unfortunately, it's been discontinued.Update: The unit does connect properly with lighter 2.5" drives. But when a heavier, 3.5" drive is installed standing up in the dock, it connects less than 50% of the time. It works fine if I use a SATA extension cable from the dock to a 3.5" drive sitting on the desktop, so that's what I'll have to do whenever I use a heavier drive (which is most of the time). Hardly ideal.3 Month Update: The unit now works only with 2.5" drives. A SATA extension cable connected to a 3.5" drive no longer functions.
