This is a back up even thought Pellet Head jack the price up $5. The ESP should be cleaned every 3rd time you cleaned your stove. This little $20 part tells the computer heat/feed what to do. If covered in soot it can screw up the stove quickly. Remove the side panel, ESP located in easy reach on the exhaust collar. Remove one small screw & slide it out. "Gently" Clean it with a scotch pad or ss pot scrubber until it's shiny again & re install. Takes 10 min. Do Not Use sand paper or a knife as it will scratch the surface and soot will collect faster.

I installed this Thermistor on our 10 year old Harman XXV pellet stove as it was not operating correctly. I originally thought maybe the main circuit board had failed. However, this new Thermistor has it working perfectly again. The installation is a little intricate but just watch a video or two if you haven't installed one before
