Some similar items don’t hold tight, and the pivot points are not strong, but with this item, everything is tight and strong and does not move. The magnet is strong, so this will not move on you when you’re using an indicator. Satisfied, customer.

The one knob adjustment is incredibly handy and the fine adjustment knob on the tip closest to where it holds the indicator works well. The magnet is not very strong however and oddly the bottom of the magnet appears to not be perfectly flat so it doesn’t make complete contact with whatever you are trying to stick it to. Overall it more or less works as intended.

I use these to hold my travel indicators that I put on parts to make sure they don't get pushed while I'm machining them. I wanted to make sure this was worth it before I bought the other two I needed & I will definitely be getting two more.

So the main reason I ordered this is because they say it's got this fantastic magnet on it. 176# absolutely not! More like 7#.I usually make it a point to try saying something nice and I'm having a difficult time trying!Do yourself a huge favor and keep shopping unless you intend to use it for a practical joke or something.
