I got this device after trying several others that claimed to be ARC devices. This thing works perfectly for hooking up my Edifier bookshelf speakers and sub to my TV while still allowing me to control the volume with my TV remote. I was using the 3.5mm output on my TV but my speakers would pop every time I turned on the TV and for some reason my TV combines the TV speakers and the 3.5mm output. This thing was super easy to set up. All I did was run an hdmi cable from my ARC hdmi port on my TV to the HDMI input on the device, plugged in the USB to power, connected the RCA cables to my speakers, and changed the output on my TV to ARC. It works great and sounds great too.

I needed a solution for my living room stereo going from digital audio to headphone jack and this worked out perfectly for me. Audio is crystal clear and there is no ground noise.

It works to connect high tech to low tech. We have a brand-new LG TV and there is no place to plug in a set of old Sennheiser wireless headphones. This converter did the trick and the headphones sound good.

Using with HDMI ARC from LG 55UK6090PUA. Output goes to a small amp (B06Y67PZB1) and then slim speakers (B0BB6WJ2BG).Initially I powered it from the TV's USB. Worked fine other than a static pop through speakers after turning on the TV. I'm no expert and I'm not sure it was definitely this DAC causing the pop as it powered up. But I now power it from a USB outlet adapter so that it is always on and the pop no longer happens when I turn the TV on. I have an energy monitor and it uses less than 1W and is utterly silent so I'm happy leaving it on.

Sounds good pulling HDMI input from TV, and driving a Sonos Era 300 (via line-in), or Klipsch earbuds. Unfortunately I dropped this nice gadget (while re-arranging cables) and it stopped working. Be advised.

TV arc out then connect to my ZVOX box sound bar and the unit immediately came up configured, the sound is controlled by your sound bar. The TV recognizes It’s hdmi arc out and switches sound out. All outputs are active at the same time. You only have to connect to what you want for input. Its an excellent product would consider this anytime I want to deal with another situation where I have a TV with arc out but no other means of audio out also would be good for other devices as well as TVs.

This faulty product frequently loses connection and causes audio interruptions. If that wasn't bad enough, every time there is an interruption, the TV screen will also go black for a full 10 seconds. Long enough for me to snap this photo. It is pretty bad for casual streaming and completely unusable for gaming.
