Many of the HDMI splitters I looked at need external power to function so seeing that this one was advertise to work with or without external power, I decided to pick it up and give it a try. I connected this product to a DirecTV box and then ran cables to two different TVs. As advertised, both TVs got signal without needing to provide external power to the splitter.Nits: Even with only 1 TV connected to the splitter, there is a noticeable degradation in picture quality. It appears that the device may be splitting the signal regardless of how many TVs are actually connected. To rule out power deficiency as the problem, I connected a 5 volt 2 amp power supply and quality did not improve.Picture quality aside, this product works as advertise and met my expectations.

I have one laptop and two monitors. My laptop only has one HDMI port. This was easy to set up and now I can utilize both monitors as needed. I shopped around because I did not want to spend too much money and this is a great fit.

I purchased two. I have two monitors for my TV signal and my computer. I can now view either source on either monitor or either source on both monitors! With excellent quality of images!

Splitter worked for 4 days. Power went off and on and would only work out of 1 hdmi port. I couldn't plug in 2 screens or it wouldn't work. Look else where for a splitter.

This HDMI splitter works well. It comes with the USB-A to Micro USB power cable but not a power supply. A nice feature is the LED blue indicator light that displays when the HDMI cable is powered up. There is one for the HDMI input cable and an LED light for each of the HDMI outputs.The cable for this adapter is thick and feels heavy duty. The housing of the adapter is plastic and light but looks attractive.I ordered this for our volunteer meetings to show the display from our PC to two additional big screen monitors. It performs well. I only need 1080P resolution, so the display output is perfect for my needs.

I use a splitter like this for optionally watching the projector or the small 55 inch screen.This splitter is a solution for my wife's desires to watch Rogers Ignite TV box output on a TV in another room without renting a second box.Solution:The main TV box output is split to the main TV and to a wireless HDMI transmitter. The HDMI receiver is plugged in to a TV in her chosen place. She is ok with not having remote control for full length commercial free programing.Yes there are other solutions but this is how this splitter is being used successfully today.

I especially like how the splitting of the HDMI output remained so clear on both units. I also like the modern look of the splitter as i have it in open view.

While this device works , the problem is the male adapter that is provided, so you're likely forced to connect directly to your HDMI output port directly or get a female-female dongle. This is weird because you have to gimmick a setup to make it work if you need some custom length, else you're quite limited with setup configuration.Further, the manual instruction that you must power with the USB, however, it is not a must. If you're running short length cable, you can just hook this directly and it will work just fine. Please refer to the picture for reference.

This splitter does exactly what it is intended to do. It seems well made and is a good length. I have no complaints.
