At first glance the converter looks like it’s made of metal, but it’s actually made of cheap plastic all over. It also doesn’t auto adjust to any monitor, it wasn’t able to adjust the video for my monitor, causing a part of the video to be cut off in the edges.

My monitor has a DVI and a VGA connectors. This made it impossible to secure the adapter with the two thumb screws, which are small and inside a recess. Not worth returning.

After using it with a old projector about five times it stopped working.The case popped open while the hdmi cord was plugged in. I was able to close it back up and use it a couple more times. It seem the hdmi cord added weight to it that ut could not handle, I opened it back up to trouble shot it and saw that the contacts for the hdmi port hardly had any solder, so it came lose at the soldering points and came lose if the board. I tried to ad solder to the point but did not work, seems to have had to much stress to the board. The good thing I was able to buy an updated projector. The part itself is good hopefully this was just an over-site.

2 pack item. one with half of case missing and no cord, the other no cord and tested bad. Looked like someone was just dumping trash into boxes. The packaging was undamaged.
