This product has OBD+GPS dual system.
The OBD system is only available for cars with OBD2 protocol and EU-OBD protocol (09 and later). This product does not support JOBD and OBDI, and the OBD model is not compatible with hybrid electric cars, diesel cars, pickup trucks, RVs and computerized modified cars.
GPS systems are available for all vehicles.

Really like the size and style of this. The cord it comes with is like 10 feet long, so you have ample wire to work with. All of the gages seem to be accurate and have been amazing.

The manual is terrible. Tiny print that needs a magnifying glass to read. Unit seems to work ok. I haven't been able to clear a DTC. I select Clean DTC but the error code does not clear. The speed readout under OBD mode seems to follow the dash speedometer. I need to check it against the cars built in GPS. I haven't checked the P17 GPS speed againts the cars built in GPS speed. The cars built in GPS is terrible. That is why I got the P17. The cars built in GPS requires you to select the GPS info sreen to see the speed. That takes it out of the map sceen. I want to have the map screen visible and still see the GPS speed. It appears the cars built in GPS speed is more accurate than the cars speedometer. I also want to have altitude displayed. There is a lot of bezel around the screen. The screen is a little bit small.

Works as intended. Screen shuts off sometimes, alot smaller then it looks. But overall it's ok. Good real time info if hooked into obd II.

It's crazy how much more convenient it is to simply glance over to the left to check your speed than to look down to your speedometer. Shortens the time your eyes are off the road, plus the gps is accurate as well.
