It heats up quickly and provides consistent performance, which is crucial for precision tasks like this. The ergonomic design also made it comfortable to handle during the entire process. This heat gun has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and ease of use. I ordered the COWALT heat gun 1800W to mostly use in working with epoxy resin on crafting and woodworking projects that I make. While the heat gun itself does heat up very fast and work extremely well, I was not very happy with the performance of the nozzles. The nozzles themselves do direct the heat in the way they are designed but when I attached the three-section nozzle to work with my epoxy resin I ran into problems. The nozzle seemed to attach securely but as soon as the nozzle heated up it fell off into my work, the nozzle is too hot to grab, and re-attach and I quickly find a rag to re-attach the nozzle. I had trouble keeping that nozzle and the other nozzles attached which was a real pain and serious a safety issue. I will be using an awl to create a dimple on the sides to help keep the nozzles attached. This should have been a design built into this tool or a twist on, etc.

I bought the heat gun to attempt a repair of the spoiler on my Audi A7. The front/nose is one large piece of plastic, that surrounds the grill and replacing it was going to cost thousands. At 10 years old, it was not worth the cost. I heated the wrinkle in the spoiler and used a drywall screw to pull out the indentations while it was hot. The gun worked perfectly and did not overheat the area. JB Plastic weld and a good deal of sanding with various grits did the trick. It's not perfect but I have well under $70 invested in everything.
