Well I already enjoy the art of soldering and had no idea they made this for my exact iron, (im happy) needless to say I have set and reset every insert I could find. I did find great success fixing my keyboard that I had stripped coupld of the little inserts this pulled them and reset all of them cuz I couldn't have one a different color so yeah I guess I'm that guy. This is a great little tool to have and the skill as well doesn't get much credit but it's not the easiest to master but seems so simple.

As I'm getting more and more into 3d printing I'm finding the need for more "niche" tools. I've been using my soldering iron on top of my heat inserts and slowly pressing them down into the print and it works thus far though I'm finding its hard to get them to go in vertically consistently.The included tin is decent though I wish it was just a tad bigger so I could print an insert to fit everything nice and snug so they're not loose but it works as is. Just gives me another project to make a little case for these.The included "adapter" fits my soldering iron with no problems and the threads fit the various sized tips fine. The heat transfer is just as quick as a normal soldering tip and it just feels easier to keep them upright as I melt the inserts in.Bottom line: If you have a soldering iron and want to install heat inserts easier this set is as good as any.

I have limited space and cannot have too many tools. These tips are an innovative way to expand the capabilities of a regular TS100 (or TS101) soldering iron to not just solder wires, but also to insert heat-set inserts.I appreciate the variety of tips, I should be all set for all heat-set inserts of common sizes.The tip seems to behave properly, both in terms of heating speed, and also in terms of temperature measurement. It also fits well into the soldering iron.You can freehand the insertion of the inserts, or you can build a jig. Either way, this tip will work as designed.I recommend this product especially to 3D printing enthusiastsNote: to open the box, slide the top. I was trying to flip it open, but it slides out.

This is a great addition to my TS100 set of tips. Pretty sure the TS101 uses the same tips so you should be good there as well. I'm fairly new to 3D printing and have inserted a few threaded inserts using the conical tip that comes with the TS100 (B2 tip) but even for small inserts like M3 screw size, the conical tip sticks out the bottom a bit and melts more plastic than is needed. Still has worked fine but I jumped at the chance to test these tips because when I saw them I knew exactly what they are. After inserting a couple of threaded inserts, I regret not using these sooner because it is much more professional, easier to insert perpendicular, and just more control in general. Very happy with these.

I used to try and set in my metal screw grommets by using my existing soldering tips. NO MORE! These tips are so much better, they provide a solid hold and you can push things in with more precision.This set comes with a number os sizes and it worked great to add this to my soldering iron. The heat transfer was just what it needed.Happy with the purchase. I do such a better job now.

This heat set insert tool is a hand tool to have.It works perfectly with my TS101 soldering iron.They include tips for M2 - M8 size inserts.Works great and I like that it comes in a metal case for storage.

Easy to use these - use the soldering iron tip, attach the heat inserts, and press into place. Comes with common metric sizes for DIY cases and projects. Fits fine in my TS100.Good set.
