The CPB Heating Pad is a very useful tool for getting phones and tablets open with ease. The instructions may be a little hard to understand due the a lot of detail been lost in translation. But non the less the controls and settings are very easy to comprehend and set up. Now the heating pad is pretty big in size, but only a certain area gets hot. The hot zone is about the same size as an Ipad or sheet of paper, which is still pretty big specially if all you're working on are phones. The heating pad gets hot fast, but stay cool underneath with the foam that's in the middle. I ordered my CPB Heating Pad from CPB-AZ the seller is very responsive and will let you know if the product is out of stock and how fast they can get it. I got my product delivered from China fast within four days I would say, it came in a box wrapped up in black plastic and tape. It ships with ups if you choose expedite shipping. I've been thinking of doing a video review, let me know if you'd be interested in something like that with a comment of thumbs up.

I had seen some reviews that talked about uneven heat distribution, but most reviews were good so I gave it a try. I used it to heat and open several iPads and had no issue at all. Heated at 160 degrees for 4 minutes, and then used the isclack suction cup tool from ifixit. Pulled apart every time as I moved around the iPads. If you're gonna be opening iPads get this and the isclack from ifixit. This thing was totally worth the money.

This heating pad is very useful for warming iPads and iPhones for taking apart and replacing batteries. It does a much better job than any other means of warming these devices.

I never replaced phone screen before, made it super easy.I saw other reviews using temperature imaging gun showing hot and cold spots which was more advanced than what I have. I used a temperature IR gun to confirm temperature. From what I saw it was uniform, but you have to give it some time to get temperature and maintain it. While it was heating up it went over the set point but then came back down to maintain consistent temperature so probably give it time to get to temperature first which I think is what the instructions also say

This heat pad is portable and spacious. Easy to use and heats up quick. No worries about over heating device with the built in adjustable timer for auto shut off. I did notice the temperature going above the temperature I set as it was heating up, so I would just keep an eye on it. I did use the timer so it wouldn't get way too hot, and also so I wouldn't be constantly checking it too soon.It has a nice small seperated storage tray for the tiny screws to keep them safe and seperate. For a large or m9re complicated disassembly I use a seperate numbered tray, but for a simple screen replacement it works great.The rubber type material keeps device from moving around and when the heat is off it is a great place to do you repair work right on it.I really like this heat pad.

So far, I have used the heating pad to fix a broken speaker in my phone and replace a battery in an old tablet that was collecting dust in a drawer. The heating pad has worked very well so far. It heats quickly and is pretty straight forward to use. The compartment is very handy for placing small screws and parts while you are working. The only issue that I have had with it, is adjusting the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius using the control panel. Otherwise, it seems like it will come in handy for the random device repair job.

I had the brand new panel set for 200F and my infrared indicator showed 257F, with the phone on it. Now the phone won't start and if I hold the Vol-Up and right-side buttons too long it lets out a siren "Whoop!"I expect I'll be returning it tomorrow.Update: A phone repair guy in a kiosk at our local dying mall was able to get the phone working for a VERY reasonable price but not the selfie camera. I had buy a new one.The mat is harder to use than a heat gun but I was able to use to open my ipad 5 mini and replace the battery and screen. Today I was able to use it to remove the protective pads inside an 18v lithium tool battery so I could replace the bad cells. The instructions are are 'way too sparse and vague about how to set the correct temp and time for phones and tablets, and what those temperatures and times should be, and if it's before or after the pad heats up.It's a little too much guess work but I am figuring it out, so I'm keeping it after all. But it loses a star on poor temperature control and another for vague, sparse instructions.

A great heatpad which speeds up component level repair. The only issue I have is when I set it to 50°c initially after a few minutes it beeps and goes to 75°c and I have to lower it back down. Maybe a setting somewhere that I cant find to stop it.
