The design of specific brass inserts have one end smaller in diameter with a slight chamfer. This makes it a breeze to set them in place before heating with a soldering iron.In addition to the heat-set adapter set get yourself a cheap drill press stand (less than $30 US) here on Amazon. It's the kind that adapts a hand drill to a pseudo drill press.You can find an adapter on Thingverse or Prusa that fits the iron to the stand. This makes a really quick and professional way to install inserts.

These make installing heat-set inserts so much easier. The tips fit perfectly, both on my soldering iron, and within every insert I have tried. They transfer heat well, and help me keep them square to the outer surface. I feel like I get a lot more control by using these instead of the regular soldering tip already on the iron.

This is the perfect addition to my toolbox for 3d printing. It's the best way to assemble models and it's effortless. My soldering iron gets a tad too hot but other than that it's very simple to use and all the major sizes I needed were included

Ich habe Lötspitzen gekauft, da ich mehrere Gewindeeinsätze von M3 bis M5 in mein aus PLA gedrucktes Modell einschmelzen wollte. Zuvor habe ich das immer mit einem Lötkolben gemacht, was aber zu Problemen geführt hat, da die Gewindeeinsätze nicht immer gerade im Modell waren. Mit diesen Aufsätzen funktioniert es deutlich besser. Praktisch dabei ist die mitgelieferte Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeit, die in meinem Lötkoffer seinen Platz gefunden hat.Da ich bis jetzt nichts negatives berichten kann, gibt es von mir voll 5 Sterne.
