  • Reusable Handi-Shims are a revolutionary way of shimming, spacing, plumbing and leveling. They are available in four sizes; 1/32" (green), 1/16" (red), 1/8" (white), and 1/4" (blue).
  • Reusable Handi-Shims are made in attached couples for deep applications but are each scored to snap into as many as three smaller spacers (six per couple), making them extremely economical. They cost approximately 20% less, on average, per unit!
  • Ideal for plumbers, electricians, masons, carpenters, cabinet makers, roofers, tilers, drywall hangers, HVAC contractors, steel fabricators, landscapers, and DIY’ers.
  • Handi-Shims are compression-resistant and thus ideal for long-term stability and for spacing wall tiles to any height.
  • Handi-Shims do not rot. They are reusable and virtually indestructible. They can be used on job after job after job. Handi-Shims are made using non-toxic polypropylene (plastic).

I love these things! No more using playing cards or gross wooden shims. Clean easy and reusable.

Saw these in a video on YouTube and decided to pick some up. Best shim system out there. Love the color coding and ability to break them up if needed for a permanent application. Best product I never knew I needed.

Keep these within reach and you'll find lots of uses. The sharp edges on the thicker pieces are great for cleaning up wet glue while gluing up a project; also for cleaning up caulking; also for cleaning up dried glue on finished surfaces; also for cleaning mortar from crevices in tools; etc. Also good for measuring small dimensions. Ever try to get an accurate 1/8" measurement when butting the tape up against something? Pretty much guesswork. With these it is possible to stack an assembly next to the object until the surfaces plane out, and get an exact measurement. Also good for gauging a reveal, or a gap. Also good for taping to a level to get an accurate slope measurement (i.e. tape two 1/4" pieces at a distance of 2', and you have a 1/4":ft. slope). They also break easily if you need a smaller piece, or use a razor knife.Biggest problem: I seem to have to always need to buy more.

These re good spacers for the short term. With consistent use I think they may not be as accurate as a metal spacer, but if they are only going to be used infrequently, they do the job. A good value for the money.

If you have a hard time imagining how these plastic shims are worth having, you stop as soon as you use them the first time. I've used them for re-aligning doors, building cabinets, and several other applications where I needed to keep items spaced just so. One of the best investments I've made for my workshop.

These shims are indispensable in my workshop. I can't have too many of them for my various projects. I only wish that they came in some cheap plastic case to keep them all together. Very accurate given the plastic that they are made of.

Cons: have to cut them with scissors.Pro-tip: if you are stacking multiple green/or red to a blue/white... you need to put the thinnest one below the thickest, so that the screw does not pull through. These saved me so much time installing a built in bookshelf to get them level. I also used these to get the kickplate level on the front.

These are very useful. I have used them instead of cedar shims when working on studs and joists as they should be dimensionally more stable than wood. It is also a lot easier to shim a gap that is of a single thickness through the entire gap than to shove a tapered wood shim in the gap. The precise noted thickness of each shim makes it easy to find and use the correct thickness for each job. Three things I do not like. 1) There is no compressive strength rating on these. It would be good to know how many PSI these will resist. I am just assuming they are better than cedar shims. 2) The selection of thicknesses is not very good. I have bought these several times and I now have A LOT of 1/32" inch shims. There are A LOT of 1/32 and very few 1/8 and 1/4. The selection of sizes seems to be based on marketing and convenience for the manufacturer, not usefulness to the user. How often does someone need to shim 1/32"? 3) The price is steep for a bunch of pieces of plastic, but I have not found a similar competitive product on-line or at hardware chains.

Perfect for relative dimensioning, shimming and measuring. I've used them to align drawer faces, set kickplates on cabinetry and shim casework to plumb. Great little tools
