Worked great!! Had two squirrels going in and out of my attic and put this at the base of the tree they used to get on the roof and caught both of them within an hour of each other. Easy to set up. Durable and lightweight.

This thing is incredible. An unknown quantity of squirrels have taken residence in my attic. I’ve used it twice (so far, tomorrow will be #3). I put a little condiment cup of peanut butter and some walnuts in this thing and it has a squirrel in less than 3 hours. Didn’t have to disguise it at all and so far I’ve even used the exact same location and they got caught again anyway. I did put something on top of it to keep it from moving- a squirrel will shake and move it as they try to escape. Simple to set. Easy to transport to the car so you can drive it far away and release it.

I got rid of 15 of them in 2 weeks. The reason I did not give 5 was because the latch / hook that hold the mechanism sometimes fail if it is sitting deep in the curve, so one has to put that on top of the curve not into the groove for it to work perfectly. I had videos showing the squirrel going in and the trigger not firing as it was sitting deep into the groove especially when the squirrel is small. Otherwise excellent product,. will buy it again if needed

Worked like a champ, I baited it with peanuts in the shell, "glued" down with no salt, natural peanut butter. NO SQUIRELL, but a nice, large, energetic RAT. The next night I caught a (hopefully THE SQUIRELL in a Kitzinger trap which the squirell has pretty much destroyed. I will order another of these traps which a. work great and b. are built to be much stronger than the Kitzinger traps which are great for rats, mice, birds and I even caught a skunk once. I released the birds and the skunk, he seemed grateful.

I have tried every kind of scented repellent, screens, and have 3 dogs and nothing could stop the squirrels from tearing up my yard for the last year. I was about to lose my mind. Had this trap baited and outside within 5 mins of delivery. Within 20 mins saw a squirrel steal the bait and take off. Learned you have to set it and trip it a few times to loosen it up then caught and relocated all 4 squirrels to the wildlife refuge within 24 hours! This was a godsend! If the pellet gun had been cheaper than this trap things could’ve ended up much different but this was so easy and so effective. I’m really glad I went with this trap!

I don’t even want to give these 1 star because they do not work for catching squirrels as they show on the cover of the box as advertised, but I had to rate them with a star…so 1 star is all they will get. I bought 2 of these and unless you are trying to catch a 5lb or more animal and the animal pounced up and down on the trigger flap inside the cage …you won’t catch anything with these traps. I had to physically push down and put weight on both trigger trap flaps inside for the trigger trap flap to get the door to close. Both traps were the exact same…so it was not a faulty trap…just the way they are made. I knew the light body weight of a squirrel or chipmunk…(which are destroying my backyard and chewing on my house, deck and deck furniture) would never trigger the door to close and I was correct. I put a small plastic cup with nuts ,inside the trap, behind the trigger flap where they would stand on in order to get the door to close behind them, and not only did they walk inside the traps (I witnessed) and stood on the trigger flaps the entire time, while they leisurely ate the nuts inside the tiny plastic bowls, but they actually stole the bowl itself full of nuts ,out of the trap, and carried it up the tree all while the doors on the traps remained wide open wide open. All I could do is laugh at how terrible the traps were…yet not happy that it cost me over $70 for 2 non working traps. I have purchased traps in the past that worked great. Purchased these because I thought the black cages would be less noticeable than the shiny silver ones and I needed new ones. I will be sending these back and getting my money back. Do not waste your money or time purchasing these traps…you will be returning them as well…trust me.

Caught squirrel on the first day! This product works. I bought the bait that was recommended on here. Someone else said you could use anything- but I didn’t want to take any chances though. So I’m glad it worked. Squirrel wasn’t hurt. My husband is going to relocate him.
