It’s nice to have a kit with a great selection of coils and the correct installation tools. Well worth the money. I would recommend. There is a learning curve if you have never used this type of repair kit. Check online for how to videos it’s fairly straightforward but worth reviewing if you have an expensive aluminum part that you need the correct size threads repaired in. I’m glad I finally broke downs and bought a full kit instead of my normal “ go to the auto parts store and buy the basic what you only need kit this kit has a good selection and I don’t have the wasted time and trip to the parts store. Time savings alone is worth the cost of the time away from the project. I would definitely recommend.

I had a starter bolt on my zero turn that I had cross threaded at some point. Tapping it did not hold but for maybe a season in the soft metal. These worked great and are much stronger than retapping and using a bigger bolt.

Saved me when treads stripped on transmission pan. Only thing missing is the hand threading attachment to hold the bit.

Stripped a thread on a 1/4-28 diesel intake bolt. Name brand kit for just that size was the same price as this kit. I really didn't expect the taps to be as sharp and crisp as they are. That bolt is in a critical spot taking 30psi of boost pretty regularly and holding fine. I was impressed at the value I got with this set

I'm pretty pleased with this Helicoil kit. I've only used one size so far, but I was able to get the job done and repair my stripped threads. I'm not sure this would be up to par for a professional mechanic shop, but for the home mechanic, or equipment owner, i think this is a great comprehensive kit. it includes everything you need in a good variety of sizes.It's never a good day when you need this kit, but I'm happy to have it in my tool kit and it's already saved me once. If you need it, and can make it work, it'll pay for itself after one use. I'd buy it again.Recommended.
