This ia a very nice digital thermometer. I have never owned one of these, so I was a little nervous to use because I wasn't sure I would know how to use it, but I am so glad I got it, it is so easy to use, it's very straightforward and user friendly. It works as intended, and it has the desired temperature right there, which makes this so convenient. It also comes in a bag for storage, this would make a perfect gift. It appears to be durable.Overall, I am extremely happy with the quality and the performance of this thermometer. I definitely recommend it.

After opening the cardboard box that the thermometer came in, I found the digital thermometer, a thick canvas storage bag to put it in, and an instruction manual. After cleaning the thermometer probe as instructed before using it for the first time, I was ready to use it.Pulling out the stainless-steel thermometer probe, the digital display automatically turns on. Press the probe into the food you are measuring and leave it there for three to four seconds to accurately measure its internal temperature.If you need to freeze the temperature on the display so you can see it for longer, press the “Hold†button to do so. Then, when you’re done, just fold the probe back into the body of the thermometer with a soft click and it automatically turns off.It measures temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius and is easy to toggle back and forth between the two, depending on your preference. You can also illuminate the display by pressing the light bulb button to turn it on and then again to turn it off.I tested the temperature of this thermometer with that of a non-digital thermometer I already own and the two compared favorably to one another in terms of accuracy.Next to the digital display, there is a handy list of what temperature is considered medium rare, medium, and well done, as well as the corresponding temperature to go with that reading. The list also states what temperature is considered best for cooking fish, ground meat, and poultry.There’s also a magnet inside of it that makes it easy to attach to my grill while preparing food on it. It already comes with an AAA battery installed and is easily replaceable when you need to put a new battery in it. Finally, there is a lifetime warranty on this product, so you have peace of mind when using it.It feels lightweight when holding it in my hand and is made of durable and sturdy plastic. The probe is solid stainless steel and is easy to clean.I’ve owned Henckels knives for decades now and there hasn’t been a single problem with those. Based on the strength of the Henckels brand name, I got this as well and I’m very happy with this digital thermometer. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-made product that does its job well.

Everybody needs at least one instant-read thermometer in the kitchen. They are almost indispensable if you want food that is properly cooked and not overdone. This Henckels brand is nice and slim compared to others I've used. The temperature reads quickly onto an easy to read display, which you can illuminate with the press of a button. The backlight shuts off automatically after about 10 seconds. There's also a "hold" button that locks the display at it's current reading (useful if the thermometer is in a location that's hard to read, such as a steamy pot or at an awkward angle). The backlight and hold features are fairly common with instant read thermometers but they are nice to have. There's also a magnet inside the back of the case so it will stick to a refrigerator or grill. The slim profile of this unit can be a drawback since it doesn't provide a very positive grip. The only real negative I found is that the probe is difficult to fold away into the storage position. I have to use my thumbnail to press it down into its little notch or else the pointy end will remain exposed. That also means it takes a bit of effort to pop the probe out of storage and into action. Overall I think this is a pretty decent thermometer that will serve me well. It is priced as expected for a name-brand tool and works as advertised.

HENCKELS BBQ Digital Thermometer, 1-pc, BlueI have always liked Henckel products. This thermometer is no exception. The temperature seems pretty accurate, and I like that there is a built-in light. The size is smaller than many thermometers but that makes portability easy. I've toggled back and forth between F and C easily. Overall, I think this is a fine thermometer that is very affordable.

The "HENCKELS BBQ Digital Thermometer" is a perfect addition to my camping kit. I like that the thermometer turns on when you flick the probe out, so no power button to worry about. On dark nights, the ability to light up the display will be a welcome feature. I also like that it comes with the little canvas pouch, especially since this will be a traveling item and not kept safely at home in a drawer.

The device turns on as soon as the probe is flipped out and instantly starts measuring temperatures. This makes it super easy to use as the probe can be flicked out with a thumb and then the unit is ready to go, one-handed.I actually tested this against a medical thermometer, it was pretty spot on although I don't recommend sticking the sharp probe in anyone’s mouth (or in to any other orifice). I only did so, very carefully, for science.Extended, the probe is long enough to keep the hands away from high heat sources. There is a button to turn on a backlight for the LCD display and another that switches between C and F, and also holds the temp display.The probe comes with a nice little canvas drawstring pouch.
