Your cart is empty.The Escali DH8 is an extremely useful tool for the home or outdoor cook with the functions of two thermometers in one device. In surface (infrared) mode the DH8 is able to read surface temperatures and when in probe mode can read internal temperatures. The IR mode is great for checking the surface temperature of grill grates, pizza stones or the food you are cooking while the probe mode allows you to check the internal temperatures of foods to make sure they are at temperatures safe for consumption. Unlike other two in one devices, the DH8 is a handheld infrared thermometer with a built in port that allows a probe thermometer to be plugged into the unit and used like a grill probe thermometer. The unit also allows for additional functionality like hold, min/max temperatures, and audible alerts. The DH8 boasts a bright white backlit display with large numbers that are easy to read in all lighting conditions and viewing angles. The DH8 is a great tool for the home or outdoor cook that would like the ability to check both surface and internal temperatures but would prefer to have that ability in one easy to use product.

We had a different model of instant-read thermometer from Escali. It worked great—until I accidentally put it into dishwater. This newer version performs exactly as well as the former one, and it’s waterproof. Interestingly, it’s cheaper than the non-waterproof one.

Purchased to test temps of food products cooked in my home kitchen. Was used to test broiled Salmon and we could tell it was inaccurate. Tested against another thermometer used regularly and older, item was found to be inaccurate to 25+ degrees. Item was returned. Recommend purchasing thermometers purchased stateside if that is possible.

I am hard on things and kept showing out the Taylor thermometers because they were water resistant and not water proof.This one stands the test of me!

No issues with this thermometer. Owned one previously years ago and was taken by my son when he moved. Needed another. Very reliable and arcuate.

This thermometer isn't these large clunky models that wind up being far too slow to determine the temp of the dinner on the BBQ, I know, I've bought many and this is THE ONLY one that delivers fast results and easily packs away in its owe case. It's so fast it senses the ambient air temperature as soon as you turn it on. Do keep the cardboard it comes in and reverse it and tape it to the back of your kitchen cupboard. Handy temp scale. 5 stars !

Tolgo due stelle perché il tappo non sta fermo in sede quando il termomentro è in uso. Era un piccolo regalo e ci sono rimasto un po' male che avesse questo difetto. Ci si aspetta che un oggetto composto da due pezzi di cui uno è il tappo sia pensato da non dover tenere il tappo in mano quando lo si usa. Le penne bic le abbiamo usate tutti e il tappo non cade ne quando la penna è chiusa ne quando lo si applica sull'estremità oposta. Una piccolezza del genere rovina la bontà del prodotto e la percezione della qualità complessiva.Le misure della temperatura sono precise e veloci. Lo ricomprerei per le misure veloci, non lo regalerei di nuovo perché il tappo è farlocco.
