I use charcoal deodorizers in my closets and shoes, but I never realized I could also use them in my fridge. I'm happy to replace my open box of baking soda because my fridge is inevitably crammed, and I'm always concerned I'm going to accidentally dump the baking soda out with all the shoving and cramming we do in there, LOL.These are more convenient and practical because I can put one in each vegetable drawer (where the stink from even fresh cauliflower or broccoli seems to abound) without worrying about a spill.These say they are reusable after about a month by being placed in the sun to "dry." While sun exposure is what rejuvenates my other charcoal deodorizers, they don't have a plastic housing blocking the interior charcoal pouch from the direct UV rays, which I understand is what actually recharges the charcoal, not "drying." Here is an explanation from a charcoal deodorizer site:"All you need to refresh bamboo charcoal bags is the sun. The charcoal inside the bags becomes rejuvenated through exposure to the warmth and UV rays of the sun. Leaving bamboo charcoal bags out in the sun for up to an hour once a month is enough to keep them working to their full potential. For best results, turn them over a few times during the hour to keep the UV rays evenly distributed."The good news is that its easy to remove these charcoal bags from the plastic box. I'll put the bags in the sun directly, then simply put the bags back into the box.

I like the idea of this refrigerator deodorizer because it contains activated charcoal and is advertised as lasting up to a year. The deodorizer cartridge is streamlined and does not have any items to spill, unlike the box of baking soda I would ordinarily use. I placed two deodorizer cartridges in my refrigerator and they take up very little space. I have not noticed significant odors from the items in the refrigerator. This deodorizer can be used in places other than the refrigerator, and the six-pack should last a long time.

these are great and so easy to use. (once you get the plastic all off). i have a big fridge and lots of food in it so i put 3 in my fridge. so far it has been great. i dont smell garlic everytime i open the fridge now! that is wonderful. we use a lot of veggies and fresh foods so this helps keep them all fresh. i love how you can dry it out in the sun and keep using it. my new go to instead of the orange box

I'm excited about this product. It says on the package that every couple months you should put it out in the sun to regenerate its effectiveness - that's not a thing I knew I would be able to do. And I didn't know if would last for a year, so I really hope it works. If it doesn't, I will check back

In theory, charcoal should be as good or better at absorbing odors, although usually the substance being filtered is forced through the charcoal. But then again, nothing is forcing the refrigerator air through a box of soda either.If these do indeed last a full year, then these are more cost-effective than soda (which is best replaced every 30 days), and look nicer.

Love that it’s not some bulky eyesore. Claims it beats out baking soda for odor control and keeps food fresher longer, which sounds promising since my veggies tend to wilt fast. The charcoal bit feels like a solid move for keeping things natural, so I’m curious to see how it holds up but so far so good.

They are convenient and nicer than baking powder containers. They are in plastic cages which clearly state that they are deodorizers. The internal deodorizer bags can also be removed and used without the plastic cage if desired.
