I have many fly lines and fly reels. I was always old school, but now that I'm pretty much just old I figured there had to be a better way than tying nail knots. I've put these on lines from 3 weight to 8 weight and while I haven't fished every rod yet the ones that I have fished with work great. The connection is solid and looping a leader on is easy.

These look good at first but do not install like other brands. The "shrink" tube that holds it on is not a heat shrink tube and does not securely hold the slip style loop onto my fly line. I had to glue the "shrink" tube on top of the leader loop in order to keep it on my line. Ive used similar products by other brands and these just dont hold up to the slightly higher priced options. Save your money and get the name brand leader loops.UPDATE: Contacted by Hercules and they said I wasnt using the right connector which is wrong. I purchased 20lb leader loops for 4 weight rio fly line and the leader loop slides off the end of the line with barely any tension every time. The product is faulty and too big. Not as described then they try to blame it on me. Ive been fly fishing for 30 years this is not user error. Refund issued.

Product is as advertised. Well made I haven’t used them yet but based on my experience they well do the job. I would purchase again for othe size fly lines.

Small disclaimer I am new to fly fishing but I read the directions as described as well as YouTube videoed to make sure I was not misreading. I would not recommend using not just this product but any product of the same. First time using with a brand new leader tied everything on perfectly it was all knotted together caught a fish a fish did not come off the hook the product completely came off the fly line because of the pressure and now there's a fish swimming around somewhere with a hook apply and a 9-ft liters sticking out of its face. Do yourself a favor and just tie a knot directly to the fly line.

Was able to just pull these off my fly line. Would recommend a different product.
