USB Type A to RJ45 Ethernet Adapter F/M, Pack of 2, USB Female/RJ45 Male
Connecting Instruction:
- Please use this USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter to connect the Ethernet port (female) of your computer.
- Please use another USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter (pack of 2) to connect the Ethernet port (female) of your modem.
- Please use a USB cable (not included) to connect both adapters, the USB cable will play the role of Ethernet cable.
Important Notes:
- It can not be guaranteed that this USB to RJ45 Ethernet Converter will work for every given application because of differences among hardware brands.
- Please DO NOT directly connect this USB to RJ45 Ethernet adapter from a RJ45 port to a USB port for obtaining network connection, you will not obtain anything in this way!

As a test I plugged this into my Roku TV's ethernet port, and the other coupler into my router. I plugged a male USB 3.0 cable to male USB3.0 cable between them. The Roku TV was able to successfully connect to my network.Unfortunately I purchased this with the intention of using a USB-C cable in between, so I tried using a USB-A to USB-C coupler on both ends, but it didn't work. But that's not to ding the product, that's on me for trying to do a wacky setup. The product itself apparently works fine.

I bought this Ethernet adapter to use with a Netgear Wireless N adapter. I use it for an older DVD player that was made prior to built in wireless, yet has an Ethernet port for firmware updates. This adapter works great! I now have a wireless connection without having to rely on running an Ethernet cable from a router to access the internet.

Some ADSL modems have an RJ45 jack that provides both Ethernet (on 4 wires) and USB (on 4 wires). This adapter taps off the USB signal by merely connecting the 4 USB wires to the USB connector (see photo). There is no IC in it so it does not do protocol conversion (USB to Ethernet). It is strictly a physical adapter, not a data converter. Both of your devices must support USB for this to work.
