I borrowed a Dymo label maker from my work to label some things around my garage / work bench. I immediately experienced the value of putting my name on my belongings. I was so pleased with the label maker I borrowed that I attempted to purchase it on Amazon. I quickly discovered that the model I had used was discontinued but saw good things about this model.I received this label maker and was surprised at the size and weight but not in a disappointing way. It really felt like quality. I skimmed through the instructions before tossing them to the side, inserting the batteries and typing my first label. It was extremely easy and I was able to pick up where I had left off with the previous label maker. If you are looking for an extremely small or pocket-sized label maker then you might want to look elsewhere. This label manager is really meant more for desktop application but is certainly small enough to carry around and doesn't require a wire once the batteries are in. All of the features are clearly accessible from the main keypad and there are only a few "hotkeys" taking you to sub-menu's but it seems to be well thought out.I haven't used the USB computer tethering to print as I don't have a need for that but it's great to know that it's there when I do.The carrying case is perfect. It holds the label maker, cords, extra spools of tape and has plenty of room for extra's.I would definitely recommend this label maker for anyone that wishes to have all of the possibilities at their fingertips while still having a unit they can carry around or leave on their desk for quick access.

This case completes a quality product; and adds protected convenience in a very compact and sturdy protection for all products; cords/charger/spare cassettes; etc.

This semi-hard case is wonderful! The zippers have a rubberized pull, and are nice and small so they shouldn't break off at the zipper which happens with cheaper cases. The inside is fur lined, for lack of a better word. It's very nice, and is perfectly sized to fit the DYMO 280. The bungie pouch holds the charger and two extra rolls in their retail package with a bit of convincing. The case closes nice, has very little squish around the zipper (so there isn't much compression) and has quite rigid corners that shouldn't cave under fairly rigorous use. I imagine the nylon may fray around the zipper hide.

The hard travel case fits my needs perfectly. It will hold the device, power cord, computer cable & extra cartridge neatly in one place. The case is sturdy and protective.

This is a fine inexpensive label maker. It has software they supply that can be used with your computer. But you are limited b the lack of variety of tape widths. I like the fact that it is rechargeable. The Dymo printer does however not have a back light display so it can be hard to see in a dark environment. I wanted a more flexible label maker that has a back light and a larger display and a bigger keyboard so I got the Brother PTD600VP (VP means you get the hard plastic case) With the case it is $98 without the case it is $59. It has tapes of different colors and a wide range of tape widths from 1/8' up to 1". The Brother printer can be used with batteries but it is not rechargeable, I mostly use it with an AC adapter any way. I use the Brother for work labeling wires and for home use as well so a I wanted a broader range ofprojects.Although I returned the Dymo printer if one is looking for an inexpensive label printer this is a good choice. And Dymo has good technical support, but Brother is even better.

I wanted something to keep my label maker in so I know where the cables are and so on . This has made it easier just to grab the case and go.Now only problem I have is what did I do with extra label tape I had LoL

Pro: Sturdy construction and reasonably priced.Con: Extremely snug fit that does not allow much room for spare batteries, power supply, and and assortment or tape.
