Honestly, when I buy something of this manufacture, I don't expect it to be of Noga or Starrett caliber, but this little bastard actually surprised me. Little is not used loosely, mind you. it is a little smaller than I had thought, but for my purposes (cam lobe lift spec) I'm not going to gripe. Everything is metal; ball and socket joints, knobs, fixture arms. If you need a mag base, this isn't the worst you could do.

Do Not waste your money on this item, the magnet is not strong which throws off your reading.

Very stiff. Really good for the price. The dovetail knob sometimes gets stuck but not a big deal.

Works good magnet is strong enough how ever the switch is very easy to disengage the magnet if you bump it. But in tne shop there is like 5-6 of these and had no problems. Note had to flat sand my due to would not set level
