I am not a machinist but these seem to be of great quality and ship with a good anti-rust coating on them. They are solid cast iron with ground faces and are by far the flatest thing I have. They are a little smaller then I first imagined but did exactly what I needed them for (truing 2 stroke cranks)For the price I am amazed what was delivered.

Overall they do what you need. After checking them on the granite plate with a tenth indicator I can confirm they are flat within a tenth. One thing to note is they are not hardened. After holding one part in the mill vise the 4130 bar left a divot in the V-block. But for the price they work.

Precision ground as shown in the ad. On my surface plate all surfaces are with in 0.0003â€. There is a variance in the height if the 2 blocks of about 0.0015†but this was not critical for my use. The thickness of the 2 blocks was dead on.

I am a toolmaker at an injection molding shop and I got these for work.... well, anyone that works in a tool room knows that your workholding tools must be hardened. Just by looking at these and tapping them together they just didn't seem very hard.. so out of my curiosity I grabbed our "ball bounce" HRC tester from the drawer and when i went to release the ball it just made a THUD on the steel.. and MAYBE bounced a half inch not even registering 20 HRC on the tester.. the ball even put tiny dimples in the steel where I tested it. So needless to say these are completely useless to me. If I were to put them in a Kurt vise to hold round stock I'm positive they will just deform, ruining the accuracy and parallelism of the v blocks.. and I didn't even want to try because I knew immediately I was going to return them.. so if you are needing these for workholding.. I'd look somewhere else. Also, the blocks that I recieved did not exactly match what was in the picture.. the holes were not counter bored and we're to small even for a 1/4 - 20 bolt. Just all around not going to work. And inaccurate description. Gave 2 stars just for accuracy, they were in spec. When checked with an indicator. But that wont hold true or matter once they deform.

Well packaged with fast delivery. Can’t beat them for the price. They fit below the jaws of my vice and allow a clear shot at the workpiece.

I bought the smaller size and they were much smaller then expected. The quality looks really nice. Have not got a chance to check them with any measuring tools.

All the critical surfaces are nicely ground, seems precise. It’s certainly better than I expected for the price.

Were much smaller than I was envisioning, but the dimensions were listed so it is my problem.

they are well made & both came without flaws. perfect for use in your home shop. if you require braces or tooling to place someone on the moon, possibly this is not for you. but for me, fixing lawnmowers, tractors & cars it is more than adequate, although on the small side, but its my fault for not seeing 7/8" not 1-7/8" like i thought.. im getting old

Extremely disappointed. First time using and wrecked one with brass rod. Sad. Avoid this product
