I've read a few reviews where they didn't not like the tslot, stating it wouldn't fit in their machine. In my case I didn't use or need their pull stud. I use 5/8 threaded pull stud and custom rails to hold my parts down. I wanted something quicker than typical hold downs that require a balancing act to tighten up.30 bucks for 1 clamp is pretty pricy. Should be sold in sets for about $50Non of my parts have ever moved using these clamps.

I ordered 4 of these, (2) 3/8â€, and (2) 1/2â€. As others have noted, these come with poor tolerances on the t-bolt side that fits in the t-slot on your machine. They look poorly forged, one of them had a huge burr, and all of them required some time with a hand file to adjust the fit and make them usable.The critical section when these are used for clamping seems really thin, it’s the portion of the arm over the pin that allows for rotation, it will receive all of the clamping pressure and I’m doubtful these would hold up to much torque.The concept is good, and with a little work they can be made usable, but I expect I will only put them to use for light duty tasks.

Really a high quality tool, my second set. Had to file a bit of flash from the t-nut, no biggie. A good tip is to add a big washer between the t-nut and the spring and these will stay put and still be capable of being easily re-positioned.Given today's economy I thought a pair of the 1/2-13 was very reasonable, delivered under $40!Also just an FYI to another comment, the 'size' is the diameter of the bolt. So the 1/2-13 unit fits in a 5/8" t-slot. At least it does in mine, ymmv.

Ordered a pair for 5/8 T-slots. One measured .613 and worked well, the other measured .645 and had to be milled down to be useable.

Great adjustable mill clamps, cheapest I have found for the size i needed. Fit the X2 Mini Mill t-slot perfect! Okay range, I was able to clamp down some 26 gauge sheet metal all the way to a steel block that was 3.25". Like the brass inlays on the ends so as to not marre your part. Overall good product for the price, and I would def recommend!

The “critical cross section†in the most stressed area is very small.The clamp is made from tenacious/friable cast iron and if the tightening force must be high the bottom of the clamp bore/cross-shaft area can break.These clamps are appropriate ONLY for medium/low clamping forces used for LIGHT MACHINING feed/speed ratios of parts that don’t require veryhigh setup retaining forces.Very good for small “fine mechanics type†parts machining processes and/or “light machining†operations on big parts.The correct advertising title for this product should have been “LIGHT MACHINING Setup Clampsâ€
