Instructions：
1.When using the balance, it should be placed on the flat workbench
2.Move the rider to the “0” point on the left end of the ruler: the pointer should be aligned with the center line of the header to obtain balance. Otherwise, the balance nut on the lever should be turned to adjust the balance
3.After the balance is adjusted, place the object to be weighed in the left tray, use tweezers to add weight from large to small in the right tray, try to put the item and weight in the center of the tray, when the weight is increased or decreased to the minimum mass, the weight is still unbalanced, the rider can be balanced.The mass of the object is equal to the sum of the mass of the weight and the mass of the rider.
4.After weighing, the rider should be returned to zero scale and the weight should be put back into the box

The technology here is probably early Mesopotamian but why do kitchen soldiers need much more. The directions are in Chinese but all you need to do is pull off the black rubber "shock absorbers" under the pans, pull off the plastic "straw" that protects the "arrow" and zero it by putting a (included) 5 gr. weight on the left pan and then push the slider to 5 gr. on the front. Or, put a, same weight item, in each pan. If the balance is not dead on, adjust the screw with nut (left or right) that protrudes under each pan. This manual balance will help me in the winter when digital scales get "flighty" in the cold.

from science class. Smaller than what I expected. This is cheap (e.g. pointer gets stuck on the ends when the weight is weigh off), but it got the job done.

This is a very good value as a teaching tool for children. They can get the mass of small toys up to 100g and find mass differences between objects. It teaches balancing torques and finding a total mass by adding standard masses and a slider.

I got this to use for elementary math with my kids and it works just fine, the instructions are in Chinese so you need to know that you will take the protection off the needle.... and under the plates there are adjustments for balancing the scale to 0.It is a smaller sized balance scale than I anticipated but it still works well enough for the $$I also purchased an extra set of gram weights so I could counter balance for learning purposes. And good to know the weights that come with this are accurate weight. And have a nice little case.

perfect .....who ever left feedback that it wasn't accurate and would not balance didnt know how to use a beam scale,hope they removed the rubber shipping grommets.
