I have tried so many different kinds of citrus juicers. None of them work as well as this. When I say "work" i mean how easy they are to use and how much actual juice I get out of the fruit. I should have gotten this from the beginning. My mother had one and I grew up using one of these. I should have known this one would be the best. Also, the quality of this item seems good. Very heavy so it won't slip around. You won't be disappointed.

Pretty good! And don't have to worry about it getting stained with all the acid.

I had been using a two-piece juicer from a local box store. Plastic on top with a cheap glass container screwed on underneath. It never sealed properly and the plastic would get gummed up too easily with pulp and seeds. So, we tossed that and started looking for something super basic that would be easy to use and clean. Enter this item and bingo. This doesn't hold much juice: between 4-6oz. depending on the stability of your hands and the size of the citrus you are juicing. I juice lemons and limes about 2-3 times a week for all sorts of drinks (from cocktails to homemade sodas). I store the juice in a separate container, so I don't need the juicer to hold very much juice. I just juice 2-3 limes or 1 (large) lemon and pour it into my other container. That doesn't bug me, but if you're looking for a one-piece juicer (juice and then pour into a glass for drinking) this will probably not be the juicer for you.The solid, single-piece glass construction has nice weight and is easy to stabilize on a bar towel, etc. The teeth are designed/spaced nicely and it handles slightly under-ripe limes better than our old plastic juicer ever did. This juicer doesn't leave much juice behind. The only disadvantage to this design is that you have to strain pulp and seeds with a separate tool (tea strainer, etc.) - not a huge deal for drinks that are later going through a strainer anyway, but it creates an extra step for soda and baking.Pros:- Single piece is easy to clean- Solid construction has nice weight and feels sturdy (I'd still advise against the dishwasher)- Design doesn't leave a lot of juice behind (for lemons and limes)- Cost is spot on for how often we use it and how long it appears it will lastCons:- No built-in strainer for pulp and seeds- Low volume means pouring out the juice between fruits- Small size of the unit as a whole kind of limits this to smaller citrus. I had less success juicing a medium-sized orange, but it still worked.I wanted a citrus juicer primarily for juicing lemons and limes. This was just what I was looking for: simple, easy to use and clean. If you're looking to juice oranges and grapefruits, you might want to search a little further for a larger unit (one just like this but 50% larger would be great). If you don't mind pouring between fruits and using a separate strainer, this is a winner.NB: made in Taiwan.

The item is made of glass and feels heavy/sturdy. The juicer is narrow and pointy which works super well for such as a lemon or a lime. Still large enough at the base to work with an orange. I could see a grapefruit being issue both from a size and a capacity standpoint. The only aspect I don't like is the small capacity and knew this going in as it is clearly stated as such.I wouldn't compare it to the old manual juicers from the 70's, but seems to a totally worthwhile product so far.

I wanted a low tech way to make a bit of fresh OJ, plus I often juice lemons. This glass juicer works well. The handle is comfortable, the spout pours without dribbling, the dish holds almost 4oz or 1/2 Cup. It should last forever; the other one pictured was my grandmothers.

I am impressed how solid and heavy this juicer is. Very attractive as well!

I wanted a simple hand device to squeezing orange juice the old fashioned way. I do like the simplicity of this sturdy, glass juicer. It is inexpensive and very easy to rinse after use. It is one piece, which is really nice and it stores easily and can easily be taken with you on a weekend trip. There are two issues with it which make it less desirable. The first is that the dish the juice collects is shallow and fills up fast, so that the rind and even your hand get pretty wet. The poined edged reamer in the middle is not big enough around to take typical Valencia or navel oranges, so that you can't really grated the pulp well against the reamer. The reamer is also a little too short, so that the orange halves are in the juice which has collected in the dish, so that you end up trying to squeeze the remainder of the juice manually by lifting the orange half off and squeezing it between your bare hands. If the pointed reamer was taller and built wider to really accommodate orange halves this would be a far better juicer.

This is a perfect size for squeezing lemons. I like its broad base and the resistance of the glass for squeezing. While the juice still has to be strained a smaller container I use to store the juice has a strainer. While that container was also equipped to squeeze lemons, it was to unstable and did not accommodate various size lemons. This cleans easily and is working well for me and is very sanitary. Would buy again.

This is made of sturdy glass, easy to clean, and works well. Holds a fair bit of juice which is nice if you'd like to make a small glass of orange juice. A bit pricey but good quality.

It was smaller than I expected so I was disappointed. I wanted it for squeezing oranges.
