Bought for my high-school aged boy for Christmas. I had previously bought a Champion model for ~$100 less, but the net ripped in two places on first day of use. We sent that product back and bought this one. From the moment the shipping box arrived I could tell that this was a more robust goal. Some 20lbs heavier in weight that the alternative and real bolts to hold the frame together. Less portable than the alternative (weight and ease of assembly/ disassembly) but that's not a consideration for my son's use.The net is significantly stronger and better built, using cord that seems 2x thicker than the alternative. IT also has a different lacing system that allows the net to be tied with lock knots directly to the frame net fasteners rather than just lacing the net around the frame. This should mean that the net will retain its shape far longer, important when leaving the goal outside during a North East winter.

Purchased for my son who is a freshman lacrosse player on a varsity high school team. I had cheaper goals in the past with lighter weight netting and after a week or so, his shots were blowing through the net in the corners and along the crossbar. The heavy mesh on this goal stops shots dead and works great. Additionally, the welded mesh rails on the top of the bars provides protection from wear and tear on the lacing of the mesh when moving the net around. On the cheaper goals, the lacing would constantly wear out when moving the net around. Overall great goal. Worth the investment.

So....we just finished putting the goal together. It does seem sturdy and I'll update when our son uses it. However, my issue is that it didn't come with instructions and there seems to be different ways of using the lacing cord. We followed directions we found the Crankshooter website that said to wrap it around the poles. It took forever and who knows if we did it correctly. Fingers crossed. Concerned we didn't tie the ends off well enough too.

The goals are a bit tricky and time consuming to string on the nets but the goals are very sturdy and good quality for the price.

Yes this goal was more expensive than others but worth it. Very sturdy and great quality frame and netting. Only thing is it’s a pain to lace the net to the frame but worth the time.

My son was excited to get a new net for his birthday. We set it up at the end of March and after a handful of times using the net, the frame broke!Update: The company immediately sent out a new frame piece which is great, but now we have to unstrung and restring the net. Ugh..

Looks and feels solid, but one of the welded wires for the net broke after only a couple months of use. I have a box goal from these guys and it is built like an Abrams. This is more like an aspiring Bradley.

Very misleading. It says white netting in the description of the product. I wanted white. Then after delivery I find a black net. Check Amazon in different description at the top it says white or black. Beware. From the welds to the paint I do not think it is worth the money.
