This product works well, was packed well, and delivered on-time. I agree, a schematic would be a nice and simple addition. Other than that, no complaints.I attached an image of my interpretation of it's internal circuitry. It is essentially an LED and an NPN transistor. Remember, the LED should have the current limited to it, or it will burn out (I typically keep it to less than 20mA). Also, I drew the Base on the transistor as a dashed line because there is no external pin for it, as the Base is the sensor/receiver for the LED output.The second image is an example circuit (the dashed-line box represents the device). When you put something into the path of the device, the LED (on the right-side of the schematic) will turn on.

Tested 4 and they all work. I attached a wiring diagram in case it is useful to anyone. If you are using an arduino u can use the digital pint pullup resistor instead of the 1k. Also anything between 200 and 500 ohms can work for the current limiting resistor to the led.
