For testing RC servos out of the plane it was good to have. Just don’t plug them directly to the battery they will fry. They work off the battery feed back hook up.

This product is great for what it does and is relatively inexpensive. However, out of the 4 I purchased, one did not work and one worked but the chip will not stay on the sticky padding it’s supposed to. (You would have to see it to understand. The 3 pack is good because it is not too expensive and if you think one might not be working, you can try one of the other two before you start tearing you R/C apart or throwing good servos away or waiting for days to get a new tester.

I was going to use this device to test servos I bought. I wanted a cheap and quick way to test. However it seemed like they either were broken, didn't work or quickly broke. Their setup is straight forward, and I ended up watching several videos to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. They just didn't work or stopped working after a while. I didn't contact the manufacture; I just gave up on them.

Servo testers are used by radio control models to check servos before installing them in a model. Testers like these have been around for years. They come from China, and lets say that quality is not all that might be. They have a push button switch that will let you cycle between three modes. I had three testers around--one of them had worked okay for years, but suddenly stopped working. I tried the second one--it pressed the push button switch and smoke poured out. Okay that one was dead. I tried my third one--and it didn't work.On the other hand--I went to my local hobby shop after getting these three testers. And found that he hobby shop price for one identical tester was $19.95Well I could wait and go to my local hobby shop the next day and buy another one (I was in the middle of a project where I needed to use the servo tester.) Or I could go to Amazon and have Prime deliver them in a day--all for less than the cost of driving to my somewhat remote local hobby shop. Pressed the button, ordered this pack of three.Did I say quality control was hit and miss? The first one of the three I tried didn't work. However the second one worked just fine. And the third one worked, but the prongs for the "in battery" connector were bent. I was able to bend the prongs back in place and now it works--for a while at least.They don't cost more than a disposable cigarette lighter so if one doesn't work after a while it's no big deal.

These nifty devices help by allowing the builder to run servos through their travel, center the servo automatically, or cycle the servos through their travel.I have found these beneficial for troubleshooting servos as well as setting up an airplane in basic trim with a neutral servo. This has prevented a lot of trouble at the flying field.A must have product if you are an RC enthusiast.

Ottimi servo tester che io uso per il movimento del pitch nel mio gimbal low cost.. Fanno il loro dovere e il prezzo è bassissimo!

All three burned out immediately upon first use. I'm not a brushed motor expert, so it may be possible that the power supply was too high or the motor needed more power than this was rated for, but I doubt it very much. As soon as the motor started to beep and I would try to spin it up with the potentiometer (dial) it burned out and you can smell (and see) the small black components that burned on each one.
