Using this fork photoeye to detect a cam on my water softener so I know when it runs and how many cycles it has run for maintenance purposes. Can also be used for high speed as well.

Good to know its working but I notice as I increase my motor the speed sensor limit only up to 2900rpm after that it will give you lower random rpm

Each one of the devices I received will often, but not always, signal two pulses for each change of state. If the double square wave were consistent, software might be able to ignore one of the bounces. However, the double bounce is not predictable, and may even degrade over time.I have tested each with an encoder wheel with 60 divisions rotating at 4RPM, and with both pull up and pull down resistors, all at 5volts.Unusable. One star.
