This was a waste of money. I bout it to replace the carb on my arm 225. After instalation I could not get it to start and eventually had to take it to a repair shop. At the shop they could not get the carb into adjustment and had to replace it with an oem carb.

Trying to keep this short as possible. There is a screen/spark arrestor behind the exhaust outlet on the muffler. It gets gummed up and clogged. Clean it or just get rid of it and then try running engine before messing with carb. Now read on if you like: Have an Echo PAS which is same engine as Echo SRM225. Would crank after a few pulls, idle sounded weak and when you throttled up it couldn't run enough RPMs to get the stringer head spinning. Wouldn't die but couldn't make any power. Had a tune up kit on hand with air and fuel filter along with spark plug. Tuned it up. Samething. No power. Opened the carb up but didn't see anything. Then I lost the float. Now I'm screwed. So I ordered this carb. Looks damn near identical to factory carb. Through it on. Nothing. Won't even idle now. Came across video on YouTube of someone with same problem. Damn I feel dumb. Never even thought to inspect the exhaust. The screen is super easy to get out. May need a flat blade to work exhaust end cap off. Screen and gasket right behind it. I bolted the exhaust end cap back on with no screen. Runs like new again.

it was cheaper doing it your self order part they bring to you cheap cant ask for any thing else i saved a tone of money doing it my self weedeater there is only 3-4 parts then you have a new weedeater any one can do it look on youtube it tells very thing you need to no then order parts from amazon they are cheaper faster bring to you
