I'm running an older FS85 trimmer that had an intermittent high speed running issue. Trimmer would not run at full throttle sometimes. All filters and fuel lines were good. Carburetor rebuild kit would cost as much as this replacement carburetor. Carburetor was easy to replace. Started easily and only needed to back off the idle speed a little. Runs like new and trimmer is about 20 years old. For the price it is a bargain!

Really nice kit and for a great price. FS85 weed eater. Bolted right up, all parts fit together correctly. Even has carb air-fuel adjustment screws which were almost spot on from the factory. Really nice being able to adjust the fuel mixture at low and high rpm. Great product and great price.

I don’t review that often but I just had to for this kit. I was gifted a nice professional grade Stihl pole saw. I was able to make it run but very poorly. This saw extends to 11’ so when it does nonstop it’s pure frustration to restart again and again. Due to the length you can’t just pull start it without leaning the end on something. This kit arrived today and I don’t think I spent more than 30 minutes total. The fuel lines were the most difficult part but not terrible. The carb itself is super simple. You could trade out your carb in as little as 5 minutes. It fired right up and ran after install I followed a video on Steve’s small engine saloon to adjust the carb. Although it seemed to run fine without any adjustments. There’s no reason to deal with carb kits when you can buy a whole carb for the same price.
very satisfied

This was very inexpensive, as it was fabricated in China, so I did have initial trepidations. I swapped out the carb from my old Stihl F80 Pro; the new was virtually identical, looking like my factory OEM carburetor. I was able to swap out the carbs and fuel filter (my spark plug was new from last year and my fuel lines were also good and did not need replacing). I primed the FS80 Pro and pulled the starter cord 6-7 times until it started. It ran well cold and under load. I did not have to adjust idle, nor high and low speed settings...it ran great right out of the box. I was a bit surprised, but pleased! For $15 and tax it was a very good buy. I'll see how it performs over the long haul, but so far so good. A further note: the swap took me about 12-15 minutes. I'd read previous reviews that stressed to use a small screwdriver to press against the two bolt heads that secure the carb to manifold/engine so you can get a nut threaded. Do it! It will save angst and time.
