I would give these six stars if I could. They are phenomenally smooth and stable like no tuners I’ve ever used on any guitar. I’m very pleased to have them on my guitar.The installation process was insanely quick and I didn’t have to drill any holes, thanks to the very clever mounting brackets that have oval holes so they can fit on almost any guitar without the need to measure for screw hole placement.I can’t praise these enough. Every guitar on the planet should upgrade to them.

These tuners are beyond easy to install and provide excellent tuning stability while just looking amazing on whatever build you throw them on. I would say they’re just about right for the money since they are certainly not cheap but they do everything I would need a set of tuners to do. They’re my first Hipshot product and I hope to have more in the future

I purchased these locking tuners for my fender stratocaster. I was excited to try locking tuners for the first time, as I keep seeing significant amounts of buzz around them and never actually tried them myself.Well, after getting them I see why some people love them so much. These tuners do a great job of keeping tune and changing strings is a million times easier with them. I love not having to worry about winding my string to the meticulous degree I felt I had to on my traditional tuners.All of that being said, there is a catch. While the universal mounting plate is incredibly nice to have and makes the job significantly easier, the actual pegs did not fit my guitar. Fortunately we have the tools to work it larger more efficiently by hand, but if we didn't I would have been in a bad spot. The only other thing I would be able to do would be either drill, or return the tuners. These pegs require a 10 mm hole, so just keep that in mind.Otherwise, if you don't mind that minor gripe I love them and recommend at the very least trying them.

The quality of this is just AWESOME! Easy to install, fits perfectly on 2007 Ibanez SA120 (I bough the 6 inline for tilted headstock) it really made a difference on my cheap guitar, works like a charm! Really good stability on the tune

Hipshot tuners are a no brainer. They came equipped with the UMP kit making it a breeze to install on my Ibanez RG2EX2.

Really hesitant to use the UMP plate for them because I thought the plate would look tacky ok the back of the headstock, but after having them for a couple of months now, I barely notice it’s there! Still want to mount them without the plate though I think it’s a cleaner look but if you’re looking for an easy replacement with no effort required for install than these are the tuners for you! Seriously some of the best tuners I’ve ever used. 10/10 would recommend no wonder all the high end custom guitars are starting to heavily use these.

Considering the price, I’m surprised at how well these tuners work. Some of the best I’ve ever encountered. I replaced the stock Gotoh locking tuners on my Ibanez FR because they were slipping.Thus far, no real issues with the build quality. The only small issue I have is that the tuning keys are bigger and closer together than I’m used to. So it’s very easy to bump other keys when you’re tuning.Overall, I’d purchase them again.

So far, I've owned Gotoh and Schaller aftermarket tuners, both non locking.I would say the build quality is the same as Schaller (made in Germany).These Hipshots look nicer with the exposed gears, and they feel a small amount smoother than Schaller as well.I would buy these again for sure :)

Gracias a la buena impresión que tuve de los Hipshot 3x3, me decidà a cambiar la maquinaria de mi guitarra eléctrica. Los afinadores de mi Ibanez grg131dx eran muy sencillos. Pero con los Hipshots, se sintió un gran cambio en la estabilidad de la guitarra. Recomiendo encarecidamente Hipshot para cualquier guitarrista que busque locking tuners de calidad, y con la flexibilidad de no requerir modificar nada de la guitarra.

Estaba un poco dudoso ya que mi guitarra no es una fender stratocaster, pero la pude instalar sin problema en mi Jackson JS22 ya que con los seguros queda bastante fijo y definitivamente los ajustes de afinación se redujeron bastante. Tambien modifique el puente a un Hipshot y ahora mi guitarra quedo poca madre
