This is a really good DVR system. I have 4K 8mp, 2K 5mp and 1080p analog cameras from other manufacturers that work really well with this system. I was suprised how easy it was to setup. The phone app is very responsive and has outstanding picture quality. I made changes to the default recording bit rate and I am now able to read vehicle license plates with stunning clarity at over 50 feet away! The DVR has a lot of advance settings which are not available on other DVR systems.UPDATE, I am very happy with this DVR, but I am having trouble finding compatible wireless cameras for this system. The wired cameras work great, very campatible with 1080P, 1440P and 4K. I wanted to add some wireless light bulb cameras for interior, but the phone app refuses to setup wireless cameras after scanning Q code. It tells me connect a compatible device. So what are the campatible devices????Also I have noticed negative reveiws on this dvr about Hard Drives not being reconized, you have to initialize the hard drive before formating. My 8tb hard drive was already intialized and formatted from my old Lorex DVR so it was already setup when I installed it into the new Hiseeu DVR. In order to get good frame rate on this DVR, increase the Record Bite rate and frame rate setting in the camera record settings. Very nice playback quality!

My 4-year old DVR has some troubles to detect its hard drive, that is the reason I bought this one. It works well, it can detect all my old cameras such as 4k, 5mp, and 2mp, then I moved the hard drive from the old( blue PCB) to the new (green PCB) one. Once it has dectected the hard drive, it starts to record instantly. Video recordind quality selection is limited; however, 1080p is enough for most user. I like this DVR.

The description is inconsistent: At first, it states this DVR supports up to 32TB hard drives, but then later states it supports up to 16TB hard drives. I purchased this DVR and installed a brand new 10TB hard drive (It does not detect the hard drive)!!

Im... hyped. Incredibly friendly and in-depth software for user friendly setting changes, easy setup, and a great amount of fine tuning for anyone's needs + the convenience of a few IP cameras? Love it--will definitely be buying again whenever that time comes.👌

I bought this DVR after carefully reading the reviews and checking the manufacturer’s description.I was looking to replace two Lorex 8ch 4K DVR’s with one 16ch DVR that was also 4K,I decided on the Hiseeu 16ch after reading where one reviewer said this was better than his Lorex DVR ,it’s not better than the Lorex DVRs that I have,(not even close).First off yes this works with a mix of cameras I have from different brands,(so does the Lorex),That’s where it ends up,the Lorex can remotely activate the lights and siren on Lorex 4K cameras,The Lorex has Alexa functionality,allowing you to view your cameras on any tv in your home with Alexa connected.The Lorex App is scan a bar code and add your DVR to the App,the Hiseeu Drive Guard App is still a work in progress.I have a lot of experience installing and connecting cameras and by far the Lorex App is the easiest and most security conscious one I’ve used.The picture quality on the Hiseeu DVR lives up to expectations,but again the Lorex leaves it in the dust with 4K Clarity.Finally the size of the Hiseeu out of the box is eye watering LARGE,forget about stacking on a nice small table or shelf ,it is nice and flat but extremely wide.While this DVR had space for TWO hard drives,I installed a 2tb Seagate surveillance hard drive that works perfectly quietly in one of my other DVRs,in the Hiseeu it sounded like a rush of oncoming wind everytime it was writing to the disk,would definitely be a turnoff if you have your DVR in a quiet part of your home.I guess the disappointment in the quality of this Product is compounded by the fact I ordered it for $179 only to see it reduced to $129 within a few days,which to be honest is nearer what it is actually worth.Needless to say this goes back into its box and I’ll be sticking to my Two Lorex DVRs.
