We have a 75 or larger turtle tank that started life as a horse trooff. It has about 8 inches of water in it and is all metal. This heater keeps the water warm so the turtle can stay in his tank outside in a covered area. If it gets rained on it will short out so use indoors only.

We use this for our turtle tank. Works great! My only downfall is that it does not show the temperature of the current water. Other than that no complaints and has seemed to hold up great

I love this heater. I’ve had it for a little over 3 months now and never had an issue, so i’d say it is very durable. I like that it also has a plastic guard which protects the fish. It’s also easy to set the temperature and constantly stays at the temperature you set it at, which is perfect since we get terrible winters here and the entire house becomes cold. This is worth it for the price!

Heater worked for 9 months, then I woke up to a graveyard. During the night it had failed and though the heater was showing 78 degrees, the tank was over 98. I lost all my fish and anemones and over 90% of my corals and invertebrates. Don’t buy this!
