I had to locate this stick up cam in an area where it would get rained on heavily. This ‘hat’ looks like it will do a good job deflecting at least some of the rain. Easy installation.

This rain/sun shade does Install easily but doesn't do what I got it for. I got this because when it rains water gets on the lense of the camera, obscuring the view. This still happens even with this shade installed. I also wanted to reduce some of the glare during the afternoon hours when the sun was shining on my camera the most, and it seems to have failed in that regard as well.

Keeps the rain off the lens for a clear view.Edit after 3 months: It still works well to keep the lens clear of rain, but it solves one problem and creates another: SPIDER WEBS. I have to clean off the webs every week. I even apply bug spray around it, but that doesn't help. The webs blind the camera from seeing anything at night.3 stars for blocking rain. Minus 2 stars for creating a problem worse than the one it solved.

El producto se ve bien y encaja también muy bien en la cámara, sin embargo me llegó de color negro aunque yo compré el blanco.Son dos estrellas por el error, no por la calidad del producto.
