I have been on a search for grandma’s mop forever. I don’t want to buy extra products, touch and throw extra stuff in the landfill only to see my mop go obsolete and have to replace EVERYTHING within a year. This mop is cellulose sponge but without that extra scrubby they used they to have. But that is okay for me, because it makes my life easier. Get the extra sponges too.

Grateful to still have a durable sponge mop available. Cleans so much better than the disposable options more widely available and I can use the cleaning agents I like.

The sponge mop was exactly as advertised. It does the job. Unfortunately the fastener that holds the sponge to the handle broke after only one use. I need to get a new refill to use it again o

Plastic tabs holding sponge to the mop head break easily.Should have metal butterfly screws.

It's hard to imagine that anyone actually tested this product. I bought it because I wanted a real cellulose sponge, unlike the barely absorbent hunks of foam normally foisted on us today. The sponge itself is OK, though a lot thinner than the ones I used to buy. But the squeegee part is supposed to click around the handle to keep it in place when you're not squeezing. This one does not. Unless you're mopping VERY gently, the squeegee part flops around, creating a tremendous clatter. In fact, if you're not careful, it could hit your foot!I might use the mop anyway, I'm that desperate. But aside from the sponge, this is the worst-designed mop I've ever owned.Update 11/18/2024 -- I only got to use this mop a few times before the sponge attachment broke away. It has plastic pins that fit through metal holes on the mop, and the holes were apparently left so rough, they cut through the pins. I smoothed the holes and was going to try again with a refill, but with shipping and tax, the refill cost almost as much as the mop!I'm starting to wonder if this mop was designed for display only -- not for actual use.

Liked the sponge head, needs to be thicker and a tad more absorbant like the mop it USED TO BE. Does pickup and absorb better than most mops of today, used to use mop as this one years prior but more absorbance was the key! This mop is on the way to being the best of all, alittle more material and thicker in size and bingo WE ALL HAVE OUR REAL MOP BACK GIRLS !!!!

I love it. The mop can be sneezed for great water removal from the sponge. Not like what you buy in the stores..those are flimsy, leave way too much water in the sponge which ruins wood floors. This mop is great..cleaning is a breeze

After trying in vain to buy an old-fashioned sponge mop at Home Depot and grocery stores and only finding flimsy mops or mops with unremovable gadgets attached to the side of the handle, I decided to order from Amazon. With appliances in my condo breaking one after another, I haven't had a chance to use the mops yet, but they look like exactly what I wanted. I bought two mops and am designating each for a different room. I'm not sure that I put the attachment for hanging the mop on correctly, but, since I don't plan to hang them, it doesn't matter.
