This is a wonderful item to have in your home! Sure, we have one that is manual and it's old fashion and neat, but this one we use for any size cans and hard-to-open ones. It is very well made and love the color and is heavy duty compared to the old electric one that we have. Very useful for us because we have a lot of canned items we get from a food co-op and there are many different sizes of lids, and this one can handle all of them, small or large. Yes I enjoy using my grandmother's non-electric but revel in the fact that this one has the ability to open large cans and "odd" shaped lidded cans as well. An excellent purchase!
